Beautiful wooded 20 acres in Section 19 which is 100% surrounded by Deer Lodge National Forest in HD 215. This secluded area is absolutely ideal for a recreational getaway, hunting cabin, or off-grid living. There are indeed full-time residents in Section 19 and further east in Section 21. Remote, but accessible. These 20 acres have a natural clearing within a grove of aspen trees surrounded by gorgeous mature evergreens, near the road where an outhouse and fire pit have been placed. Mountain views to the west would be possible above the road if trees were cleared. The fields are loaded with wildflowers and wild strawberries. Wildlife is everywhere, especially deer and elk. There are drilled wells and developed springs on several parcels in Section 19. The road before the gate for nearly 11 miles off I-90 is quite good and maintained by private parties. Smokey Mountain Drive itself is accessible via passenger vehicle in summer, not plowed in winter, but it is only a few tenths of a mile to the property from the gate. Area trails for hiking and recreational use are walking distance of this parcel. Definitely off-grid, definitely a must see!
